Dan Williams lives in the UK dividing his time between North London and the east coast of Suffolk.
He has worked with a wide range of prestigious clients internationally during a career now spanning over 30 years.
Keeping sketchbooks is a crucial ingredient for Dan’s illustration work: informing and inspiring the work he creates in his studio. There is a fluency inherent in his brush work which is crafted from his love of working on location; giving his images energy, excitement and a strong sense of place. Whether a landscape, still life or portrait, for Dan it is important that the work retains a quality of ‘just painted-ness’.
Over recent months Suffolk has provided a safe haven, allowing Dan to explore the local environment during long country walks with his partner Sabine and their Parson’s terrier, Dotty. It has provided the inspiration for a series of oil paintings exploring natural forms and seasonal change. Dan plans to exhibit them later in the year.
