Chelsea Ragan is represented by Lindgren Smith
Chelsea Ragan is an illustrator, baker, mother of two, and thrift store fanatic living in Black
Mountain, NC. Nestled in her Appalachian Mountain playroom/studio, Chelsea sketches,
paints, and cuts paper for her creations. From her studio desk she watches hungry birds
fight at the feeder, the mountain fog rolling in, and time standing still.
After graduating from Maryland Institute College of Art with a MFA in Multidisciplinary
Studies, she shifted her focus to grow a family. After having two beautiful children, Chelsea
found her artistic voice again by creating paper cut collages full of vintage nostalgia, vibrant
colors and folk art.
Her collages are made from hand painted paper and love. Chelsea believes in creating art
that you can see the artist’s hand in each piece, through the visible brush strokes and
layered paper.
Chelsea Ragan is a member of Illustrators for Hire and an alumnus of Make Art That Sells.
