R. G. Roth R. G. Roth is from the historic village of Cold Spring Harbor, New York. A graduate of Rhode Island School of Design, Robert studied painting under American Master, Thomas Sgouros a direct descendent of the Brandywine School. Robert enjoys collecting vintage finds and listening to modern jazz. His many influences include such artists as Paul Rand, Ben Shahn, Calder and Picasso. Roth has received numerous honors including Awards from The Society of Illustrators, Print and Communication Arts. He has illustrated over 14 books for children and most recently was Awarded Best illustrated Children's Book of the year by The New York Times. Robert now lives with his wife Cheryl and two daughters in an 1850's farmhouse in Cleveland Ohio.
