Jon C Lund
Starting with endless drawings of dragsters and Hot Wheels,
Jon C Lund has carved out a career producing poster style art for a great variety of clients.
After graduating from the University of Akron (Ohio, Black Keys) in 1981. Jon C Lund spent his early career as a graphic designer for local advertising agencies, working on his airbrush illustration style on the side. In 1990 he placed his first ad in The Workbook that brought in clients from all over the country. In 1996 he first became interested in the idea of painting without breathing paint and started his first digital works in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Now all his work is executed digitally.
The focus of his inspiration mostly comes from the populist art of the first half of the 20th Century. Including everything from matchbooks and packaging to the posters of the WPA, Tom Purvis, and Joseph Binder.
Jon C Lund’s recent projects include Official player art for the 2014 MLB All-Star Game and 2014 NHL Heritage Classic.
And… more importantly raising three above average kids with his wife Suzanne in a little bungalow in Hudson, Ohio
